China has developed a highly accurate laser weapon system that can shoot down light drones at low altitude, state media reported.

The machine has a two-kilometre range and can bring down "various small aircraft" within five seconds of locating its target, the official Xinhua news agency said, citing a statement by the China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP), one of the developers.

Xinhua showed pictures of large metal boxes in camouflage paint and the wreckage of a small drone, some of it burning.

It is expected to "play a key role in ensuring security during major events in urban areas" and address concerns on unlicensed mapping activities, according to Xinhua.

It is effective up to a maximum altitude of 500 metres and against aircraft flying at up to 50 metres per second (112 mph), Xinhua said.

It cited Yi Jinsong, a manager with China Jiuyuan Hi-Tech Equipment Corp., a firm under the academy, as saying that small-scale, unmanned drones were relatively cheap and easy to use, making them a likely choice for terrorists.

"Intercepting such drones is usually the work of snipers and helicopters, but their success rate is not as high and mistakes with accuracy can result in unwanted damage," he said.

The system, which can be installed on vehicles, shot down more than 30 dronesin a recent test with a "100 percent success rate" said the CAEP statement.

The academy is developing similar laser security systems with greater power and range, Xinhua said in its report late Sunday.

China typically deploys tight security for domestic political meetings, international conferences and sports events, looking to prevent public protests over issues such as illegal land seizures and corruption as well as any threats to the participants.

If the United States is to remain a sovereign nation, she must have a strong military capable of defending both her shores and her citizens   against attack. This means that in addition to protecting the homeland, American troops must also protect our interests abroad, including our allies. When all is said and done, the United States must have armed forces capable of fighting and winning wars on two regional fronts.

This week The Heritage Foundation released its 2015 Index of U.S. Military Strength. (1)  In the report, Foundation’s Analysts wrote “The U.S. does not have the right force to meet a two–major regional contingency (MRC) requirement, and is not ready to carry out its duties effectively.”  Military equipment is aging rapidly and manpower is being reduced. According to Heritage Foundation’sDakota Wood, “it’s quickly becoming problematic in terms of being able to address more than one major conflict.” (2)

America’s military strength has not been decimated by foreign enemies but by the actions of its own commander-in-chief. The deliberate scuttling of the nation’s military might by the treasonous Obama Regime has left American forces too weak to meet a two–major regional contingency and barely able to carry out its duties effectively. America has literally surrendered its ability to project lethal force in more than one war. As a nation, America is not capable of fighting Muslim terrorists while at the same time stopping Putin from reacquiring the Ukraine for the Russian Empire.

The United States has twice witnessed the coronation of Barack Obama by intellectually inferior, American Idol voters who base the selection of political leaders on the promised availability of free money. The inevitable result is an administration which creates domestic and foreign policies based upon its own best interests rather than those of the nation. How can anyone be surprised that the United States and the American people should suffer when the new definition of leadership is linked with the qualities of contempt for individual liberty, freedom, responsibility and the Christian ethic. And how can the strength of the American Armed Forces be expected to flourish when those appointed to run the Defense Department either hated the uniformed service or never served anything in this country but themselves. 

America’s faculty lounge mullahs are more concerned about social engineering than the security of the nation. This is epitomized by Obama’s current military strategy to reduce the size of the armed forces to be able to fight one large war while simultaneously conducting a delaying action, at best, on a second front. The purging from the military of its true warriors in favor of affirmative action heroes has taken its toll on the security of this nation. A primary reason for the fall of the Roman Empire, according to Arther Ferrill, was the deterioration of the Roman army. Microwaves “nuke” your food at a cellular level. Cooking with a microwave destroys cancer-fighting nutrients in food and promotes nutritional deficiencies.

Microwaves absolutely decimate the nutritional value of your food, destroying the very vitamins and phytonutrients that prevent disease and support good health. Previous studies have shown that as much as 98% of the cancer-fighting nutrients in broccoli, for example, are destroyed by microwaving.

To understand why, you have to understand the nature of vitamins and phytonutrients (plant-based nutrients). These are very delicate molecules which are fragile. They are easily destroyed by heat, which is why raw plant foods contain more plant nutrients than cooked foods. Carotenoids, antioxidants and other molecules like DIM (in broccoli) or anthocyanins (in purple corn) are all easily destroyed by microwave energy.

Microwaving is the worst way to cook foods because microwaves excite the water molecules inside whatever you’re cooking, causing heat to be formed from the inside out. This results in a cell-by-cell “nuking” of the food (such as broccoli, carrots, etc.), causing the near-total molecular decomposition of the vitamins and phytonutrients that promote disease.

Microwaved food is not merely “dead” food at every level, it is food that has been molecularly deconstructed, leaving nothing but empty calories, fiber and minerals. Virtually the entire vitamin and phytonutrient content has been destroyed.

Anybody who says microwaving food is a healthy way to cook is wildly ignorant of nutrition and cooking methods. While steaming vegetables is, indeed, a good method for some veggies to help make certain nutrients more bioavailable, microwaving destroys veggies from the inside out at a cellular level.

Don’t be fooled by appearances

What’s really deceptive about microwave cooking is that the food still appears to be basically the same, but at the cellular level, it’s like a nuclear war has taken place. The actual molecular structure has been decimated. If you could see microwaved foods with a powerful microscope, you’d never eat them again because you would recognize just what a nutritional wasteland they really are.

If you want to eat in a healthy way, make sure a significant part of your diet is raw plants. It’s okay to eat some steamed, stir-fried or even grilled veggies, but when grilling foods, avoid burning them because all burned parts contain toxic, cancer-causing chemicals that promote colon cancer.

Remember, a person who cooks a lot of their food with microwaves will inevitably have chronic nutritional deficiencies that promote cancer, diabetes, bone diseases, loss of brain function, heart disease and many other health problems. The least healthy people of any society are typically the ones who frequently use the microwave oven to “nuke” their foods.
