http://www.gotquestions.org/New-Testament-homosexuality.html
Question: "What does the New Testament say about homosexuality?"
Answer: The Bible is consistent through both Old and New Testaments in confirming that homosexuality is sin (Genesis 19:1–13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Jude 1:7). In this matter, the New Testament reinforces what the Old Testament had declared since the Law was given to Moses (Leviticus 20:13). The difference between the Old and New Testaments is that the New Testament offers hope and restoration to those caught up in the sin of homosexuality through the redeeming power of Jesus. It is the same hope that is offered to anyone who chooses to accept it (John 1:12; 3:16–18).
God’s standards of holiness did not change with the coming of Jesus, because God does not change (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8). The New Testament is a continuing revelation of God’s interaction with humanity. God hated idolatry in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 5:8), and He still hates it in the New (1 John 5:21). What was immoral in the Old Testament is still immoral in the New.
The New Testament says that homosexuality is a “shameful lust” (Romans 1:26), a “shameful act,” an abandonment of “natural relations” (Romans 1:27), a “wrongdoing” (1 Corinthians 6:9), and “sexual immorality and perversion” (Jude 1:7). Homosexuality carries a “due penalty” (Romans 1:27), “is contrary to the sound doctrine” (1 Timothy 1:10), and is listed among the sins that bar people from the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9). Despite the attempts of some to downplay these verses, the Bible could not be clearer that homosexuality is a sin against God.
Homosexuality is not the cause of a society’s decline, but it is a symptom of it; it is the result of people making themselves the final authorities. Romans 1 gives the natural digression of a society that has chosen idolatry and sinful pleasure instead of obedience to God. The downward spiral begins with denying that God has absolute authority over His creation (Romans 1:21–23).
The result of a society’s rejection of God’s rule in their lives is that God gives “them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator” (Romans 1:24–25). Verses 26 and 27 say, “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” The phrase “God gave them over” means that when we insist on shaking our fists at God, He finally lets us have the perversion we demand. And that is a judgment in itself. Homosexual behavior is the result of ignoring God and trying to create our own truth. When we defy God’s clear instruction, we reap the “due penalty” of our disobedience (2 Thessalonians 1:8–9; Revelation 21:8).
The good news is that homosexuality is not the unpardonable sin. It is forgivable just like greed, theft, and murder are forgivable when we repent and turn to Jesus (Acts 2:38). He provides us with new identities (1 Peter 1:14; Colossians 2:13). Second Corinthians 5:17 says that “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Those “old” things include former sins that once held us captive. Whereas we were once defined by our sin, being born again (John 3:3) means we are now defined by Jesus and His righteousness (Colossians 3:3). A thief no longer has to define himself as a thief. He is cleansed from his former ways and made new in Christ. A murderer—such as Saul before he became the apostle Paul—is forgiven and conformed to the image of Christ (Galatians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 15:9; Romans 8:29). And someone trapped in homosexuality can be set free to walk in purity when he or she agrees with God about sin and trusts His power to forgive and restore.
As has been noted, 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 includes homosexuals in a list of those who will not have a part in God’s kingdom. But verse 11 goes on to say, “Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” The truth is that some of the saints in the Corinthian church were former homosexuals. God’s kingdom is populated by sinners. No one comes to God on personal merit. We all come the same way: through repentance, renouncing the sin for which Jesus died, and accepting the righteousness of Christ in its place (2 Corinthians 5:21).
The New Testament offers good news for everyone struggling with sexual identity. Jesus wants to replace our sinful lifestyles with His own righteousness so that we become more like Him.

Video released online shows a group of about 12 men being beheaded, and another group of 16 men shot to death [AP]

A new video from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) purportedly shows the group killing captured Ethiopian Christians in Libya.
The 29-minute video released online on Sunday shows two groups of dark-skinned captives. It says one group is held by an ISIL affiliate in eastern Libya and the other by an affiliate in the south.
A masked fighter delivers a long statement before the video switches between footage of the captives in the south being shot to death and the captives in the east being beheaded on a beach.
The footage released online shows one group of about 12 men being beheaded by armed men on a beach and another group of at least 16 being shot in the head in a desert area.
It was not immediately clear who the captives were.
Redwan Hussein, an Ethiopian government spokesman, told Reuters that he could not immediately confirm the nationalities of the victims.
In a separate interview with AFP news agency, Hussein condemned the killing "whether they are Ethiopians or not."
Ethiopia's embassy in Egypt was working to verify if those killed were indeed Ethiopians, he added.
The video bore the official logo of the ISIL media arm Al-Furqan and resembled previous videos released by the group.
A text on the screen identifies the men as "followers of the cross from the enemy Ethiopian Church".

Pinay maid rescued after FB plea goes viral

https://ph.news.yahoo.com/pinay-maid-rescued-fb-plea-000000301.html
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said yesterday embassy personnel in Bahrain rescued a Filipina maid from her employer after she posted a desperate cry for help on her Facebook page.
Staff at the Philippine embassy were alerted to the plight of the 28-year-old maid, who claims she was raped and beaten by her employer’s son, after she posted the video on her Facebook page on Thursday morning.
The video attracted about 78,000 shares and 19,000 likes.
“The rescue was prompted by the video message... She is now under the care of our embassy,” foreign ministry spokesman Charles Jose told AFP.
Philippine embassy officials and staff from the maid’s employment agency picked her up from her employer’s house, Jose said, adding that police were investigating the incident.
The maid’s alleged assailant denied to police that he attacked her, Ricky Aragon, vice-consul at the Philippine embassy in Bahrain, told AFP by phone.
In the three-minute long video, which appears to have been made on a webcam, the maid accused her employer’s “drug addict” son of raping her.
She also posted a written appeal for viewers to contact the Philippine embassy on her behalf.
“After my employer’s son abused me, he threatened to kill me and bury me in the desert if I tell anyone about what happened,” she said.
The maid said her employer did not believe her claims of being raped and beaten and insisted she finish the remaining two months of her contract before she could go home. Her employer also told her to have an abortion if she became pregnant, she added.
Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said the maid left the Philippines as an undocumented worker. “She has no records with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration,” she said. – Mayen Jaymalin

Will Russia's Sub-Building Boom Matter? Three Fold Threat Russia,China And Iran !!!!

Despite Numbers, Experts Question Combat Effectiveness

http://www.defensenews.com/story/defense/naval/submarines/2015/01/24/russia-navy-submarine-shipbuilding-nuclear/22190761/

Combine the revived Russian submarine construction rate with President Vladimir Putin's aggressive stances of the past year, along with the steady drumbeat of Chinese naval expansion, and the question might be asked — is a submarine race going on?
"I know a lot of folks like the term arms race, but I think it's more complicated than that," said Thomas Mahnken, a former US defense official and now a professor at the Naval War College. "There's definitely competition going on — with the US, other NATO navies, China — but there's also modernization going on. An increasing portion of what Russia is doing is replacing aging systems or systems that already have been retired."
"I would be skeptical," cautioned Norman Friedman, a longtime naval analyst and author. "There's a history in that country of laying down things that don't get finished for a long time. No question they'll lay down the subs, but actually building them after that is a more interesting question."
The Russians frequently issue proclamations that they intend to increase naval construction, including statements about building a fleet of aircraft carriers. But ship construction remains modest, and the Navy remains largely a collection of Cold War relics. Yet Russia has a long tradition of building tough and innovative submarines.
"The Russians have put their money where their mouth is with regard to submarine construction and development," said Bryan Clark, a former US Navy submariner and strategist, now an analyst with the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. "They see that as a way to generate an asymmetric advantage over US forces. If they can develop a really high-end submarine force like they did in the Cold War, it would create a problem for US naval planners and strategists thinking through how to deal with a potential Russian threat — one that could emerge without a lot of warning."
Construction Delays
The most lethal new subs are those of the Yuri Dolgoruky class, also known as the Project 955 Borey class. Construction of the Dolgoruky has been a protracted affair — the ship was laid down at the Sevmash military shipyard in Severodvinsk in 1996 but not launched until 2007. Sea trials began in 2009, but development of the ship's primary weapon, the Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), itself has been fraught with problems. It was only in 2014 that the submarine submerged with a full load of 16 ICBMs, according to Russian media.
A second Borey, the Alexander Nevsky, was laid down in March 2004 and began sea trials in 2011. Like the Dolgoruky, the ship and its missiles have experienced numerous problems, and trials continued at least through 2013. Vladimir Monomakh, the third Borey, was commissioned last December after eight years of construction and trials.
Three more Boreys are under construction, and Russian Navy chief Adm. Viktor Chirkov said in December two more would be laid down in 2015, for a total of eight, all expected to be in service by 2020.
The design of the Dolgorukys uses many features of earlier submarines. In fact, the first units used pieces and components built for earlier submarines that were either scrapped or never finished. Russian media reports indicate the Vladimir Monomakh used significant hull components of the decommissioned Akula-class attack submarine Ak Bars.
"I get the feeling for all the big talk from the Russians about building a new fleet, they're probably having trouble getting stuff," Friedman said. "For the first subs, they used pieces from earlier subs."
The Dolgoruky carried out an operational test firing of a Bulava in October, the Itar-Tass news agency reported — the third successful test launch since a September 2013 failure — and two more will take place in 2015.
Meanwhile, construction of Yasen-class Project 885M nuclear attack submarines is picking up. The first unit, Severodvinsk, was commissioned at the end of 2013 after a 20-year construction period, during which the submarine underwent significant re-design. A second unit, laid down in 2009 at Sevmash, could be delivered this year.
Two more Yasens were laid down in 2014. Itar-Tass reported on Dec. 26 that Mikhail Budnichenko, head of Sevmash, said three Project 885 Yasen-class subs would be laid down this year along with two Boreys.
Non-nuclear submarine construction also continues. Along with several Kilo-class subs being built for the Russian Navy and export, at least one more Lada-class diesel-electric submarine is to begin construction this year.
Numbers vs. Effectiveness
But can Russia sustain this prodigious submarine construction effort?
"The naval production we're likely to see this year is an artifact of decisions made some time ago when oil prices were fairly high and before a number of Western countries imposed sanctions on Russia," Mahnken said. "Whatever the Russians do this year, I think it'll be very hard for them to sustain naval production going forward."
Added Friedman: "Putin doesn't have that much money. And with the drop in oil prices, they have very bad problems."
With the post-1990 decline in shipbuilding, Friedman said, the shipyards have lost much of their submarine-building expertise.
"A lot of people quit the yards" when construction all but ended, he said. "If they lost a lot of their smarter people, there's a difficulty in recreating what they had. Coming back 15 years later and trying to recreate it is kind of dubious."
Clark agreed.
"Their industrial base is weakened from two decades of not being used," he said. "You've got a significant reduction in the number of skilled engineers, the aging out of people who otherwise would be part of the Russian design base.
"While Russian engineering and technology development is top-notch, they don't necessarily have the people to be able to do all the legwork necessary to take an idea into a reality. That's why you see things like submarines taking 10 or more years to construct, because they just don't have the design and construction base to support high-rate production."
But are the new submarines cause for worry?
The Yasen attack subs "are probably what you could get in 1989, plus improved combat systems," Friedman said. "They got access to microprocessors and things like that. But they're not going to the insertion of new technology, because they're not that flexible. But I would guess the combat systems have improved substantially."
Clark sees no cause for alarm in the pace of Russian submarine construction.
"They don't have very many submarines today, and they certainly don't have very many frontline submarines that would be anywhere close to US submarines," he said. "The best submarines the Russians are producing are perhaps equivalent to some of the older US submarines currently in use. It would take a while for the Russians to build up enough of those to where they create a potential problem for the US.
"The main concern," Clark added, "is that even a small number of very good submarines can be problematic from an intelligence-gathering and surprise strike kind of perspective. But they're not able to cause a debilitating effect to a fleet."

Ayatollah Khamenei: Obama’s deal is “non-binding.” Iran won’t allow inspections.

http://jewishpolitics.tumblr.com/post/115946037598/ayatollah-khamenei-obamas-deal-is-non-binding
Looks like negotiations with Iran are going just swell
from Haaretz:
“I fully trust our negotiating team, but I’m weary of the other side’s attempt at deception. It’s all about the details. The deceptive side may want to stab Iran in the back over the details; it is too early to congratulate,” continued Khamenei, who also praised Iranian nuclear achievements thus far, and reiterated previous Iranian claims that its nuclear program has peaceful purposes. “I told President Rohani and Foreign Minister Zarif that any agreement must preserve Iran’s right to scientific and technological development. They need to find a way for that to happen,” Khamenei said.

According to Khamenei, the United States published a document that was “mostly false” after the latest round of talks. “I gave President Rohani my list of principles and red lines. Beyond that, I don’t intend to get involved in details,” although he also noted that he instructed the negating teams to make it clear to the Western powers that Iran will not allow IAEA inspectors into military facilities under the pretext of supervision of its nuclear program.
Earlier on Thursday, Iran President Hassan Rohani warned that Tehran will not sign on to a final nuclear deal with world powers unless it is accompanied by the immediate lifting of all economic sanctions imposed on Iran over the controversial nuclear program.

The comments by Hassan Rouhani are likely to complicate efforts to reach a final deal by the end of June and could indicate new demands by the Iranian negotiating team.

“We will not sign any agreement, unless all economic sanctions are totally lifted on the first day of the implementation of the deal,” Rouhani said. He spoke during a ceremony marking Iran’s nuclear technology day, which celebrates the country’s nuclear achievements.
According to Iran’s leaders, their nuke program is for “peaceful purposes,” but if you follow their own words, they believe that “peace” can only be accomplished through the annihilation of Israel and the United States.  If you follow that logic, a nuclear bomb would be the fastest way to achieve the “peace” they’re looking for.

Arab Charity Disparity for Teflon Hillary, ‘Doesn’t Matter’

To ignore her obvious major flaws that should disqualify her is sheer folly and ideological blindness. She is notoriously polarizing, calculating, disingenuous, insincere, overly ambitious, secretive, and will do anything to win.

http://www.standupamericaus.org/corruption-2/arab-charity-disparity-for-teflon-hillary-doesnt-matter/
Editor’s Note – It cannot be asked often enough; how is Hillary Clinton still a viable candidate for the Oval Office? Charity disparity, why?
Of course the answer is the accommodating media and a large chunk of the populace that remains ignorant, and/or just suspends all disbelief. It is more important to get another first in history with a big fat “D” attached to it than it is to put America first.
To ignore her obvious major flaws that should disqualify her is sheer folly and ideological blindness. She is notoriously polarizing, calculating, disingenuous, insincere, overly ambitious, secretive, and will do anything to win.
She is also out of touch, and tone deaf, just to cite a few of the 13-words the press is warned not to use when describing her. Click on link for full story
Of course, as we mentioned in earlier posts, there are many more words that describe her more precisely and none are flattering. She is virtually ‘Kardashian-like;’ famous for being famous, with no actual accomplishments other than logging air miles.
Then there are all those millions donated to her family’s foundation from notorious nations who give so very little elsewhere. It just does not pass the smell test and may have ‘plausible deniability,’ but really, why give so much to the Clinton charity when they are so clearly not charitable to longer-standing and similarly situated charities?
But to the likes of leftists like Arianna Huffington, it just “doesn’t matter,” just as described above. Huffington is the poster-child the poster child for what
Reacting to the new report that the foundation may have received more than $30 million from Arab nations than the Red Cross, Huffington told “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski that potential conflicts between the foundation and Hillary Clinton’s public sector work “doesn’t matter.”DoesntMatterHuff
“Does this it raise questions to you, this Clinton story?” Brzezinski asked Huffington.
“It doesn’t. It’s like unless we can prove there’s some direct correlation — I would much rather focus on what is Hillary going to say and where is she going to stand on the Iran negotiations deal. On something important,” Huffington said.
“How we spend our time in this 2016 race is going to be determined a lot by what we in the media consider important. Not everything matters, and who donated to the Clinton Foundation doesn’t matter unless we can prove that there was some connection. ”
When the so-called “media” icons like Huffington determine the news, it is easy to see why our nation continues to crumble. The “ideologically blind” leading the blind! Please read the following article and decide for yourself.

Media Silent As Muslims Ethnically Cleanse 60,000 Christians In Philippines

http://www.jewsnews.co.il/2013/09/16/media-silent-as-muslims-ethnically-cleanse-60000-christians-in-
By: Daniel Greenfield
When thousands of Muslims become refugees, then you can’t get the media to shut up about it for weeks. Thousands of Muslim migrants invading Burma became “refugees” and the media has spent the better part of a year ranting about how evil the Buddhists are.
But when Muslim terrorists attack a Christian city creating tens of thousands of refugees, you couldn’t pay the media to cover the story, whether it’s in Syria, Egypt or closer to home in the Philippines.
Philippine troops have started to battle their way into coastal villages in the south where Muslim rebels have held scores of residents hostage in a six-day standoff, sparking fierce clashes that have killed 56 people and displaced more than 60,000, officials said Saturday.
President Benigno Aquino III said more firefights were expected but assured more than 62,000 displaced villagers being sheltered at a sports complex in Zamboanga city that the rebels’ capability to sow trouble has been degraded and the government was working to end the crisis soon.
