Young Black Man Inspired By Eric Holder And Obama And Sharpton Is charged in shooting Ferguson Officers discusses it in jail audio
ST. LOUIS (AP) — The attorney for the man accused of shooting two police officers during a demonstration in Ferguson expressed surprise Wednesday at audio of jail telephone calls in which his client appears to confess.
Jeffrey L. Williams, 20, is accused of shooting and wounding the officers on March 12, during an early-morning rally sparked by the resignation of Ferguson’s police chief.
Prosecutors say Williams told investigators he fired a gun but was aiming at someone else. KMOV-TV first obtained audio of several of Williams’ phone conversations from at the St. Louis County Justice Center. St. Louis County Justice Services Director Herbert Bernsen confirmed the audio is from calls made by Williams and provided The Associated Press with the sound files.
“Nobody aiming at no police,” Williams says. “I ran up the hill and he (an unidentified person) shot at the car. … I shot back,” Williams said.
In another conversation, Williams expressed concern about a possible lengthy prison sentence.
“Even though I was in the wrong, though, I should have just went the other way,” he said. “Oh man, now I’m looking at 10 years.”

A British Man Was Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder For Killing A Paedophile
Brit dad arrested for 'killing suspected paedophile he caught taking pictures of his daughter'
A British man has been arrested on suspicion of killing an alleged paedophile who he caught taking photographs of his young daughter.
Kainth Davinder, 40, was arrested by police on Saturday night after he allegedly attacked Sandro Rottman while the two were at Spinnaker restaurant in Sotogrande, an exclusive resort on southern Spain's Costa del Sol.
According to police, that the 43-year-old victim had been charged with possession of child pornography days before.It is not known if Davinder knew this at the time of the alleged attack.
A spokeswoman for the Civil Guard said that Davinder had appeared before a magistrate and been remanded in custody accused of homicide.
She said: "The discussion apparently began because of alleged recordings that the victim was making of the aggressor's daughter.
"When he (the aggressor) saw what was happening he took the tablet off him, saw the recordings, threw the device to the ground and attacked him.
"The victim had been arrested by the Civil Guard a few days ago for possession of child pornography."
Davinder allegedly asked Rottman on several occasions to stop filming his daughter, thought to be younger than eight, but the German national persisted, the spokeswoman added.
When officers arrived at the scene they found Rottman with "very serious" wounds, although it is understood no weapons were used during the attack.
He was taken to a hospital in nearby La Linea de la Concepcion but died there.
Davinder, who is understood to live in Sotogrande, left the restaurant after the assault but was later identified thanks to witnesses.
Rottman had been arrested in Spain in January over child pornography claims and was awaiting trial.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out and authorities are awaiting results to determine how he died.
Sotogrande is one of Spain's most upmarket resorts and is known for large houses overlooking the Mediterranean and golf courses such as the world-famous Valderrama Club.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are urgently investigating reports of the arrest of a British national in the Cadiz area in southern Spain.
