CLEVELAND, Ohio — Hundreds celebrated the life of beloved political icon Louis Stokes,Ohio's first black congressman and a civil rights pioneer, at his funeral Tuesday morning at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church.

Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Sens. Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman, U.S. Rep. Marcia Fudge and former U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich were among the admirers at the 2 1/2-hour service, where family, Fudge and pastors paid tribute through eulogies, song and prayer.

Fudge spoke on behalf of public officials, and remembered Stokes as her mentor-turned-colleague and friend.

"Louis Stokes, thank God, never embraced the shallow notion that he should be like everyone else. Had he done so, he would have never reached his extraordinariness," Fudge said. "As the drama of history unfolds, Congressman Stokes will be ranked as one of the all-time greats and to be sure, his greatness will endure."

Stokes, 90, died a week ago after a brief battle with brain and lung cancer. The celebrated statesman was raised in poverty by his mother, Louise Stokes, who worked as a housekeeper to ensure he and his brother, Carl Stokes, received a good education. Both graduated with law degrees and climbed the political ladder to pave the way for other black civic leaders.

Carl Stokes was the first black mayor of a major U.S. city. Louis Stokes served 30 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he held prestigious leadership roles, including as a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus and a member of the House Appropriations and Intelligence Committees.

As an attorney, Stokes challenged Ohio congressional redistricting that split districts to curb black voting power, and argued the landmark Terry vs. Ohio "stop and frisk" case.

Stokes' gentle spirit, infectious laugh and love of "people and fairness" made his personal life as memorable as his career, Kelley Stokes said in a tribute to her "granddaddy."

"He worked tirelessly to develop individual relationships with each of his grandchildren," she said. "I will miss that joyous 'Kelley girl' greeting more than I can ever say. He was himself all the way to the very end."

Another of Stokes' seven grandchildren, Nicolette Thompson, remembered how Stokes embraced everyone with kindness. Both dedicated Cleveland sports fans, the two would attend Cavaliers games together.

"He greeted every single person he recognized," she said.

At the joyful service, the choir sang gospel hymns for more than 30 minutes before Biden entered the church to a standing ovation. He greeted the Stokes family and was seated next to Brown.

Stokes' family members, including his wife of 55 years, Jay, paid their respects at his casket before it was sealed and draped with an American flag in dramatic fashion.

Several pastors, some from Stokes' home church St. Paul AME Zion, led the ceremony.

The legendary Rev. Otis Moss Jr. gave Stokes' eulogy, in which he listed the multiple buildings and scholarships named after him: The Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library at Howard University, the Greater Cleveland Veteran's Hospital, the Cleveland Public Library expansion, the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Louis Stokes Scholarship and more.

"In spite of all the chaos ... in spite of all the despair in the world, God keeps sending us apostles of hope," Moss Jr. said. "Stokes was that kind of apostle."

Hawaii Official Now Swears: No Obama Birth Certificate

Former Hawaii elections clerk Tim Adams has now signed an affidavit swearing he was told by his supervisors in Hawaii that no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii and that neither Queens Medical Center nor Kapi’olani Medical Center in Honolulu had any record of Obama having been born in their medical facilities. NOTARY SEAL ON TIMOTHY ADAMS’ AFFIDAVIT

Adams was employed at the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division from May 2008 through September 2008.

His position was senior elections clerk, overseeing a group of 50 to 60 employees responsible for verifying the identity of voters at the Absentee Ballot Office. It was in this capacity that Adams became aware of the search for Obama’s birth-certificate records.

“During the course of my employment,” Adams swears in the affidavit (viewable in full as part 1 and part 2), “I became aware that many requests were being made to the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division, the Hawaii Office of Elections, and the Hawaii Department of Health from around the country to obtain a copy of then-Senator Barack Obama’s long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate.”

As he inquired about the birth certificate, he says, his supervisors told him that the records were not on file at the Hawaii Department of Health.

“Senior officers in the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division told me on multiple occasions that no Hawaii long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Senator Obama in the Hawaii Department of Health,” Adams’ affidavit reads, “and there was no record that any such document had ever been on file in the Hawaii Department of Health or any other branch or department of the Hawaii government.”

Former DOJ Attorney Has Filed for the Deportation of Barack Obama, Exposes THIS Evidence

Larry Klayman wants to deport President Barack Obama. The former Department of Justice attorney has submitted a petition that would initiate a legal process that would eventually deport the president.

Klayman recently sent his 20-page “deportation petition” to the acting director for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a fraud detection director at DHS and a director of enforcement and removal operations at the Department of Homeland Security.

“There is prima facie evidence that Barack Hussein Obama is removable from the United States and in violation of the law under the legally recognized categories of falsely claiming U.S. citizenship,” Klayman wrote in the petition. (H/T The Daily Caller)

“Even if a legitimate birth certificate exists, Barack Obama’s repeated use of a clearly forged birth certificate is still a crime,” Klayman said.

Klayman is founder of Judicial Watch and, in 2013, successfully sued the National Security Agency and the Obama administration over the massive surveillance of phone records citing constitutional grounds.

In the petition, Klayman contends that Obama should be deported because “he has falsified various birth and other documents with regard to obtaining a U.S. passport and other privileges as an alleged American citizen,” according to the source.

Klayman is one of many skeptical Americans who believe Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery, filled with “unmistakable errors and defects,” which include a fake social Security Number and name.

Such a forgery, according to Klayman, nullifies Obama’s citizenship and should result in deportation.

If Klayman’s petition were successful and Obama were removed from office, it would be too late to undo the damage he has done to this country. Still, many would see much justice in Obama finally getting what they say he deserves.

Congresswoman and former United States Ambassador to Luxembourg Ann Wagner (R-MO) appeared on The Dana Loesch show and placed the blame, of the stand down order to those that could have offered assistance to Americans under attack, on none other than Barack Obama.

Loesch asked Wagner, “Because you have been an ambassador, you have been overseas with similar responsibilities and similar missions – who gives such an order to stand down? Where does that come from?”

“The President of the United States,” the Missouri congresswoman affirmed.

As top diplomat in Libya Gregory Hicks testified to on Wednesday before the House Oversight Committee, “The Libyans that I talked to, and the Libyans and other Americans who were involved in the war have told me also, that Libyan revolutionaries were very cognizant of the impact that American and NATO airpower had with respect to their victory.”

“They are under no illusions that American and NATO airpower won that war for them,” Hicks continued. “And so, in my personal opinion, a fast mover flying over Benghazi at some point, you know, as soon as possible might very well have prevented some of the bad things that happened that night.”

He went on to add, “if we had been able to scramble a fighter or aircraft or two over Benghazi as quickly as possible after the attack commenced” — around 9:30 that night — “I believe there would not have been a mortar attack on the annex in the morning because I believe the Libyans would have split. They would have been scared to death that we would have gotten a laser on them and killed them.”

In fact, Hicks suggested that the Libyans would have granted the US permission to fly their planes directly over their airspace. “If we had been able to scramble a fighter or aircraft or two over Benghazi as quickly as possible after the attack commenced. I believe there would not have been a mortar attack on the annex in the morning because I believe the Libyans would have split. They would have been scared to death that we would have gotten a laser on them and killed them.”

Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) said that personnel “may not have arrived in time to save lives, but at the time the decision was made, the decision was wrong.”

Representative Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), a member of the committee also said that “military personnel were ready willing and able, and within proximity, but the Pentagon told them they had no authority and to stand down.”

I wrote back at the end of October of the reports coming out that there were calls for “military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.”

We know from testimony this week that Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s statement that “The U.S. military did not get involved during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, last month because officials did not have enough information about what was going on before the attack was over” was not true. They did know. They knew in real time. There was no way they would not have known, but Panetta testified that Obama was simply absent on the night of the Benghazi attacks. In fact, the White House received several emails indicating what was going on and yet Obama would not authorize any help.

While Chris Stevens was appointed as a diplomat to Libya in 2007 under President George W. Bush, he was named ambassador under Barack Obama. Now stop and think about that for a moment. If Obama will just let one of his appointees, a U.S. ambassador, die at the hands of Islamists, how much do you think he cares about American citizens? I’m guessing not too much.

Over and over, this comes back to one person, Barack Hussein Obama. He is the one that over and over in his first days in office had to beat the drum that he was the “Commander-in-chief” and don’t you people forget it! Well, I say Mr. Obama needs to own up to his dereliction of duty, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans.

Retired Lt. General Michael Flynn, the former head of the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) has a lot to say about Obama’s Middle East Policy and the ‘deal’ with IRAN. We don’t make deals bro- we tell them what it is and they obey. Real simple. Remember Ronald Reagan? “Tear down that wall”? Remember what happened when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor?

So the General says Obama’s Middle East policy is one of “willful ignorance.” In other words, he knows EXACTLY  what he is doing-purposely DESTROYING AMERICA!
“Right now, we have almost a complete breakdown of order in the Middle East,” Flynn told Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace. “A new Middle East is essentially struggling to be born.”
Also , he pointed out that Iran is “clearly on the march,” and will influence the growing regional sectarian wars.

The real confusion, Obama administration critics say, is that the United States is opposing Iranian-backed rebel fighters in Yemen, but siding with Iran in its fight against the Islamic State’s efforts in Iraq and Syria.
“At the end of the day, we have just this incredible policy confusion — never mind what our strategy is to execute that policy,” Flynn said. “We have to stop what we’re doing and take a hard look at everything going on the Middle East because it’s not going in the right direction.”
And the United States, Flynn said, is working with “almost a policy of willful ignorance … we have some major problems that we are dealing with, and here we are talking to Iran about a nuclear deal with this almost complete order of breakdown in the Middle East.”
